News - Windows 8 Tablet is Dell Top Priority This Year, Said by Company’s CEO


Windows 8 Tablet seems to become Dell’s top priority right now. The company is recently show their commitment to come out with a Windows 8 Tablet that dedicated for business purpose this year. Michael Dell, the CEO and founder of the company, said that there’s lot of demand for both secure and decent Windows 8 Tablet, so the company is quite excited to provide consumers with such product. 

This is not surprising actually. Back on a press conference in August 2011, Dell already told to the press that they are determined to develop a Windows 8 Tablet and release it on 2012. The company also noted that they’re quite interested to give another shot on Android based tablet.

Previously, Dell was known for it’s failure on marketing the Streak tablet. This 5.0 inch Android device was received lot of critics from both experts and customers, saying that the device is quite questionable for being a large phone or small tablet. Dell then try to make up their failure by releasing the 7 inch version of Streak tablet. Off course both of us know that the company will soon stop selling them due to bad sales record.

That’s why Dell is currently obsessed to provide a decent Windows 8 Tablet. They said that they’re not only aim for regular costumers, but more specific, the enterprise users. According to Dell’s statement, these professionals are currently rely on Microsoft’s apps and environment to do their job. So, it is completely make sense that Dell is trying to work on this market with a new Windows 8 Tablet. Dell suggest that this new device should hit the market by the end of 2012.
